Literature

Literature is the study or art of written works. It originates from the Latin word literra which means letters. The types of literature varies from one culture to another. In the Western culture, fiction and nonfiction are the most basic types of literature.

Kaleidoscope
I can compare Literature to a kaleidoscope for two reasons. First, kaleidoscope can give you different images in every twist and turn you make, just like literature. Literary works can give us various perspectives in what's happening in our everyday lives, may it be real or the unimaginable. And as you go on reading literary works, you can explore more the depth of life thru the authors' imagination.

Second is that just like a kaleidoscope, literary works are full of colors. They gives us written visual images of things, events, and people. They possess the ability to stir different emotions of the person reading it.
